Orbit E-Commerce and PureNet.TV Announce Successful Testing of IPTV Beta System

Achievement Marks the First Step in Delivering a National Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) Service

TORONTO -September 8, 2004--- Orbit E-Commerce Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: OECI) and PureNet.TV Inc.  ("PureNet") today jointly announced they have completed the design, implementation, and testing of a system that will allow the companies to deliver Internet Protocol Television ("IPTV") and related video services on a national scale.

The test, which is now running successfully in Toronto, meets or exceeds the Companies' expectations for picture quality and system responsiveness.  In addition to proving the efficacy of the system, the cost structure has been determined for building the network. The network will incorporate equipment and software from some of the world's leading manufacturers in the fields of digital video processing and Internet technologies.   Of equal importance to proving the technology, OECI and PureNet have also now completed development of their back-end administrative and billing systems to facilitate the marketing of their services.

IPTV services will include a broad and competitively priced channel line-up from which individual subscribers will be free to choose the content they desire; personal video recording and video-on-demand services; and very low-cost video conferencing services.  The latter will be of particular interest to educational and medical institutions, which require low-cost solutions to provide enhanced distance learning and high quality out-patient services respectively.  PureNet's services will ultimately be available in 50 major urban centers across the United States. 

OECI has signed an agreement to acquire PureNet.TV Inc. and the transaction was expected to close at the end of August.  The closing was delayed pending the results of the test.  Now that the test has proven successful the acquisition will proceed and should be completed in the near future.  This acquisition is the first major step in making OECI a leader in the field of IPTV.

OECI now intends to immediately commence building its network and marketing IPTV services to consumers and broadband Internet Service Providers that are looking for ways to enhance their own competitive positions, increase revenues, and raise customer loyalty levels.
